Wisdom and foolishness

When you look around, it seems that the state of the world is not guided by wisdom, at least. But perhaps wisdom can be found better if one realizes where its absence is noticed. 

In this talk show, a philosophy doctoral student explores wisdom and its absence. Anu Virtanen, Associate Professor of Literary Studies Maria Laakso, professor of philosophy Arto Laitinen. In addition to them, the EDUCA flagship coordinator Anna Roikonen and youth researcher Tomi Kiilakoski will participate in the program. The event's planning is the responsibility of the world's first Associate Professor of the Philosophy of humor Jarno Hietalahti and professor Hannu L. T. Heikkinen, which leads the Academy of Finland research project Wisdom in Practice. The conversations are held in Finnish.

 

 

Hannu Heikkinen is a professor at the University of Jyväskylä's Finnish Institute for Educational Research. He leads an Academy of Finland research project Wisdom in practice.

 

Jarno Hietalahti is the world's first associate professor of the philosophy of humor. Recently, trickster has focused particularly on the study of tricksters, or mythological tricksters. 

 

Tomi Kiilakoski is a postdoctoral researcher at the Finnish Youth Research Society. He researches youth participation, youth work, and cultural-philosophical issues. Image: Sami Perttilä

 

Arto Laitinen is a professor of social philosophy who is interested in social ideals and pathologies.

Anna Roikonen at the University of Jyväskylä JYU.Edu- Impact pillar project manager and EDUCA flagship Coordinator. She is a sworn advocate for early childhood education, an enthusiastic stage performer, and Rupuset-choir member.

 

Anu Virtanen is a doctoral candidate in philosophy and works as a project researcher at the National Institute for Educational Research. Her research focuses on philosophical dialogue in the context of personal growth and the acquisition of wisdom transformative as a policy.
