Jyväskylän Kesä, the oldest continuously running city festival in the Nordic countries, will take place from July 1–7, featuring concerts, theater, exhibitions, and discussions. This marks the festival’s 71st edition, and this year’s theme is wisdom. The Jazz Finland 100 anniversary is reflected in the program with a strong jazz lineup, and Jyväskylän Kesä will bring J. The lineup for the Jyväskylän Kesän Park Festival has now been finalized. The festival, taking place in Lounaispuisto on July 2–3, will feature the singer-songwriter group Muuan Mies, as well as DJs for both days: DJ Matti Juhani on Thursday and Joniveli on Friday. The City of Jyväskylä presented the 2025 Conference and Event Awards on January 28 at a ceremony held at Sataman Viilu. The Public Event Award went to Jyväskylän Kesä, which we are truly honored by. ”Jyväskylän Kesä is the oldest cultural festival in the Nordic countries and a trailblazer in the Finnish festival scene. Puistojuhlat opened in the sunshine; today it opens at 4:30 p.m.

Contrary to most weather forecasts, Puistojuhlat opened on Thursday under clear skies, and the entire evening was marked by one of the most beautiful summer evenings of the year. Storm Ulla, which raged on Friday, is quickly subsiding, and clear, partly cloudy weather is also forecast for this evening. The gates will open by 4:30 p.m., which is slightly later than planned due to wind conditions.
