Craftsmen's Museum – Coppersmith's House and Carpenter's House

The Central Finland Museum's Handicraft Museum evokes an atmosphere of the 1800s. The museum buildings, the Coppersmith's House and the Carpenter's House, are the oldest still-standing houses in Jyväskylä. They are rare examples of the old building practices of Jyväskylä, founded in 1837. Stop by to hear stories from Toivola's old courtyard The handicraft museum offers a glimpse into the family life, work, and leisure activities of a handicraft artisan from yesteryear. The handicraft museum is open year-round and admission is free. Additionally, the museum organizes free workshops.

In the Toivola Old Courtyard, you can also explore the oldest residential building in the center of Jyväskylä located in its original spot, the Sparvin house, and its associated Museum Shop Sparvini.
