The Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 Festival is the oldest continuously organized city festival in the Nordic countries. Established in 1955, the event swiftly became one of Europe's most significant summer festivals. Throughout its history, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 has hosted numerous world-renowned composers, architects, musicians, filmmakers, philosophers, scholars, dancers, and theater artists. Since its beginning, the festival has focused on high-quality artistic content, showcasing new works and emerging talents, addressing socially relevant themes, and embodying a participatory organizational philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 71st edition of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 Festival will take place from July 1 to 7, 2026, in Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 and surrounding areas. The theme of the 2026 festival is wisdom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 Festival online shop, operating on this website, accepts the most common Paytrail payment methods (online banking, payment cards, etc.) as well as the cultural benefit services Epassi and Smartum Pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are also sold at the door for all events that are not sold out in advance. A limited number of tickets is available for each event. To avoid queues, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance. We do not accept reservations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personal assistants are admitted free of charge to all our events when accompanying the person they assist. Please contact us to obtain a personal assistant ticket. We respond promptly to all accessibility-related inquiries and always do our best to assist all our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please be prepared to show proof of eligibility for a discounted ticket at the festival entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
